Friday March 15, 2013
Cricketing legend and ‘Voice of the Game’, Jonathan Agnew, has today been announced as the latest ambassador of Green 4 Solutions.
The company, who are the market leaders for CRM and ticketing solutions in the sports and leisure industry, have secured the agreement with Agnew, as they look to develop their emergent status within cricket, initially in the UK and then worldwide.
This partnership follows the announcement of rugby legend, Neil Back being named as an ambassador for Green 4 in January 2013.
Green 4 Solutions’ Director, Peter Oliver, said: “Jonathan is an extremely well respected individual with a superb reputation previously as a player, and now through his role in the media.
“We feel that he offers our growing company a strong voice within both cricket, and the wider sports and leisure industries.
“His commitment to the supporter or listener is second to none and in Jonathan, just like with Neil Back, we have found a genuine ambassador to truly promote and develop Green 4 in the future.”
Agnew, who is currently in New Zealand for England’s three test series against the Kiwis, enjoyed an 11-year playing career with Leicestershire County Cricket Club between 1979 and 1990, before a glorious return in 1992, helping Leicestershire to beat Essex in the NatWest Trophy semi-final. He also represented his country at Test and One-Day International level, on three occasions in each format respectively.Agnew, speaking ahead of the partnership announcement with Green 4 Solutions, said: “I am fortunate to have enjoyed a lifetime in top level sport and am very aware of the need for a strong relationship between the various sporting bodies and their customers – the paying spectators.
“Having spent considerable time with the team at Green 4, I can see the passion and knowledge they possess and working directly with them and their clients will, I believe, help to make genuine improvements to cricket and the wider sports industry.
“Representing Green 4 will give me a hands on opportunity to help spectators enjoy the best possible sporting experience.”
Jonathan will work alongside the Green 4 team, attending meetings, offering support to overall staff development, and will be present at the company’s showpiece event ‘The Beyond CRM Forum’ this summer, as well as helping the company with potential business opportunities within cricket.
